If you are scheduling, selling online, message publication, and many calendar features with WordPress may not work until you have set the default timezone set. Changing the timezone should be one of the things that you should do after installing WordPress. This is a built-in feature that comes with WordPress, so it’s very easy to change.

The default setting is always UTC, also known as GMT (Greenwich Mean Time = somewhere around England). So in today’s post we will share a quick tutorial on how to change that.

First, log into your WordPress Dashboard. Go to the Settings tab and choose General. This can be found in the left-hand menu in your WordPress dashboard.

At the bottom of the page, you’ll find the Timezone option. Here you can select the timezone that you want.  In order to find your country’s / city’s UTC, use a site like http://www.timeanddate.com/.

Be sure to click the Save Changes button at the bottom of the Settings > General screen.

It’s simple, right ? We hope this article helped you to change the timezone in your WordPress website.
